Rest Reviewed: The Spring Nap Concert Recap
A visual gift from one of The Nap Concert Partners, Becks Boards.
About 10 minutes into the concert, the snoring began.
First one person. Then a second. Then a third.
John Popelka, a Pillow Patron who attended The Spring Nap Concert, said he thought he heard soft snoring and I said “around here snoring is considered a 5 star review!!”
So…What Happened in the Room?
The Spring Nap Concert was everything. The room filled with people who gave themselves permission to do the most radical thing in our overscheduled world: absolutely nothing. They came, communed with each other, they settled in, and they rested. Some of them rested so deeply that they didn't wake up until I called them out of the music.
Victoria Murray, a guest from the Fall 2025 debut, said it best: "Once I got home, showered, and got in the bed, it was over for me. I don't remember hearing Alexa playing music, the lights turning off, nothing. When I woke up, church had already started. I do not set an alarm because I seldom oversleep — I will see you in the Spring."
She came back.
What's Growing
The Nap Concert is not standing still. We’ve rested, so it’s time to get back to work. There are things in motion that I am not quite ready to announce fully. But I will say this: if you have been thinking about attending and you keep putting it off, I would stop waiting. New cities are listening. The Nap Concert is beginning to travel, and you do not want to hear about it after the fact!
What I can tell you is that November 14th is a date worth marking on your calendar right now for The Winter Nap Concert. More details are coming (and another blog post) but rest assured (hehehe), it will be worth showing up for.
The Team Is Growing Too
The Nap Concert has always been a community effort, but we are stepping into a new season of intentional growth. We are bringing on a Marketing Director. Looking at you Rosita!! Someone who believes in this mission and will help us tell the story the way it deserves to be told. This is a big deal. It means The Nap Concert is not just an event anymore. It is a brand, a movement, and an operation.
Stay in the Loop
We are also launching a newsletter: A dedicated space for the Nap Concert community to stay connected between events. Rest tips, behind-the-scenes updates, early access to tickets, Pillow Patron spotlights, and the kind of content that reminds you why slowing down is the most productive thing you can do. Subscribe details coming soon!
The Revolution Continues
This is the whole point.
We started with a dream and a room full of strangers in pajamas. We are building something that travels, something that grows, and something that this world needs. Snoring is the applause. The rest is the revolution.
Stay close. More is coming.
